OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: Promotion of Assistants as Section Officer of
Central Secretariat Service (CSS) on ad-hoc basis.
The
undersigned is directed to refer to this Department’s O.MNo.07/03/2006-CS-I dated
31.07.2006 on the subject mentioned above and to say that the position of
vacancies in the Section Officer’s Grade in various cadres has been reviewed
and it has been now decided to extend the zone of ad-hoc promotion in the Grade
of Section Officers from SCSL No. 269 to 294 of Select List of Assistant of
1991. The cadre authorities are requested
to take necessary action for making ad-hoc appointment in the Grade of Section
Officer upto 31.12.2006 from the Assistant of Select
List of 1991 up to SCSL No. 294.
2. Cadres are also requested to review the
vacancy position in Section Officer’s Grade in the light of the recent
appointment of Section Officers on regular and ad-hoc basis and report the
resultant vacancies/surplus (if any) in Section Officers Grade to this
Department immediately for filling up on ad-hoc basis on the basis of the
Common Seniority List (CSL) of Assistants, and in no case not later that
31.12.2006.
3. The other terms and conditions of the O.M. dated 31.07.2006 remain same.
