Subject: Upgradation of pay scale of Steno Grade ‘C’ (PA) of CSSS and Assistant of CSS from Rs.5500-175-9000/- to Rs. 6500-200-10500/- clarification - regarding.

The undersigned is directed to refer to this Department’s O.M. of even number dated 25^th September, 2006 on the subject mentioned above and to say that references are being received from different cadres seeking clarification whether the upgraded pay scale of Rs. 6500-200-10500 is applicable to Stenographers Grade ‘D’ of CSSS and UDCs of CSCS, who have been granted financial upgradation in the old pay scale of Stenographers Grade ‘C’ and Assistants under the ACP Scheme.

2. It is clarified that the revised pay scale viz. Rs. 6500-200-10500/- of the posts of Assistants of the Central Secretariat Service(CSS) and the Personal Assistants(Steno Grade C) of the Central Secretariat Stenographers Service(CSSS) shall also be applicable to the Stenographers Grade ‘D’ of CSSS and U.D.Cs of CSCS who have been granted ACP in the pay scale of Rs. 5500-175-9000.

3. If any clarification regarding fixation of pay in the revised pay scale of Assistants/PAs is required the same may be sought from the Establishment (Pay) Division of this Department
