Sub: Ad-hoc Promotion of Assistants in Section Officers’ Grade: Extension thereof.

The undersigned is directed to refer to above subject and to inform that ad-hoc period in the Section Officers’ Grade in respect of all assistants of Select List year 1989,1990 and 1991(General and SC category) and Select List 1994(ST Category) has been extended up to 30.06.2007 or till regular Section Officers are made available through normal channels of recruitment, whichever is earlier, subject to the terms and conditions of adhoc promotion intimated from time to time.

2. The extension of period of ad-hoc promotion in Section Officers’ grade in respect of Assistants of Select year 1992(for general and SC category), who have filed case for continuation of their adhoc promotion in SO Grade in Hon’ble CAT or High Court, would be considered by the cadre authorities concerned in the light of direction/ judgment of Hon’ble CAT/High Court.
