OFFICE MEMORANDUM

 

Subject:- Finalisation of Common Seniority List (CSL) of Steno. Grade ‘D’ – Select List Years upto 1994– reg.

 

The undersigned is directed to refer to this Department’s OM of even number dated 24^th April, 2006 and to say that representations/references received from the individuals/Cadres have been examined in this Department.  It is noted that most of the representations relate to the change in the rank number obtained by the Direct Recruit Stenos. Grade ‘D’. 

 

2.            In this context, it is brought to the notice of all concerned that during the process of preparation of the CSL, it was noticed that the rank/merit number of the direct recruits of Stenos. Grade ‘D’ in the Combined Merit List (i.e. list showing the common merit of English and Hindi Stenographers Grade ‘D’) had not been indicated by some cadres, in the Cadre Seniority List, resulting in disorder to the extent that two direct recruits had been given the same rank number, which created difficulties in assigning proper placement in the list.  This position was earlier brought to the notice of all concerned vide para 3 of this Department’s OM referred to in para 1 above.  With a view to obviate this difficulty and also to fix correct seniority, the rank number obtained by the direct recruits as indicated in the Combined Merit List provided by the Staff Selection Commission has been shown in the list against the direct recruits.  It is clarified that no candidate’s rank number has been changed to his/her disadvantage.  On the basis of the information received from the Cadre Authorities, corrections regarding date of birth, date of appointment etc., wherever required, have been carried out in the list.  Further, the names of Stenographers Grade ‘D’ who have already been appointed as Steno. Grade ‘C’ have been deleted from the list.  Having regard to this, all the representations received will stand disposed off accordingly.

 

3.            Accordingly, Common Seniority List of Steno. Grade ‘D’ has been finalised and it may be seen on the Website of this Ministry.
