Sub: Centralization of Cadre Management of CSS. Ad-hoc promotion being made by the cadre authorities on the basis of cadre seniority – Representation regarding.

In continuation of this Department’s earlier OM of even number dated 27.10.2005, the undersigned is directed to say that it has been decided that pending completion of the exercise undertaken by this Department (in relation to the ad-hoc promotions, ordered by cadre authorities on decentralized basis), the cadre authorities may consider promoting the UDCs/Assistants belonging to SL 1990 as Assistant/Section Officer on ad-hoc basis, against the available vacancies, if the same is as per functional requirements in public interest.

2. The cases of UDCs/Assistants (belonging to SL 1990) who cannot be considered for such promotion owing to non-availability of vacancies in the cadre etc. may be intimated to this Department immediately in a time-bound manner.
