OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Sub: Appointment of CSS Under Secretaries as Deputy Secretaries by
personal Upgradation of the posts of Under Secretaries held by them.
Clarification – regarding.
In continuation of this Department’s O.M.
No.21/18/2001-CS.I dated 12.09.2001, the undersigned is directed to say that
the issue of grant of benefit of such upgradation to the officers who were on
deputation between the period 09.08.1999 to 12.09.2001 has since been examined
in this Department. It has been decided that the officers who were on
deputation during the aforesaid period may also be allowed to get their pay
fixed notionally w.e.f. 09.08.1999 and until 12.09.2001. The officers who are
still on deputation may be asked to exercise their option for reversion
immediately within a period of one month from the date of issue of this Office
Memorandum, failing which they will forego the benefit of notional fixation of
their pay.
2. All the Ministries/Departments are
requested to process such cases accordingly.
