Sub: Introduction
of Non-Functional scale of Rs.8000-275-13500 to Section Officers of Central
Secretariat Service (CSS) - Clarification reg.

The
undersigned is directed to say that references are being received from various
Ministries regarding grant of Non-Functional Scale of Rs.8000-13500 to the
Section Officers of CSS, who are presently on deputation to certain ex-cadre
posts. The matter has been examined and
it is clarified that the Section Officers, who become eligible for the grant of
Non-Functional scale of Rs.8000-13500 in terms of DOP&T's order
No.21/36/03-CS.I dated 13.11.2003, while working on ex-cadre posts on
deputation basis, shall also be entitled to exercise the option for fixation of
pay in the new scale under FR 22(1)(a)(2).
However, their further continuance in the deputation posts may have to
be regulated as per the general instructions governing terms of deputation.
