Subject: Promotion of Section Officers of the CSS to the grade of Under Secretary on adhoc basis – furnishing of ACRs and vigilance clearance.

The undersigned is directed to refer to this Department’s O.M. of even number dated 19^th June, 2006 asking for CR dossiers / missing ACRs and vigilance clearance in respect of Section Officers of 1991 Select List in connection with their promotion to the grade of Under Secretary on adhoc basis. The requisite documents / information has not been received in this Department so far.

2. It is requested that CR dossiers / up to date ACRs and vigilance clearance of all Section Officers of Select List 1991 beyond CSL No. 5347 in respect of general candidates may be sent to this Department immediately. CR dossiers and vigilance clearance in respect of Section Officers belonging to SC category may be furnished up to Select List 1992 beyond CSL No. 5560. CR dossiers / vigilance clearance in respect of Section Officers belonging to ST category who have completed 8 years’ regular service in the grade of Section Officer may also be furnished urgently. The aforesaid information may be sent to this Department latest by 18^th July, 2006, failing which the concerned officer may not be considered for promotion in the grade of Under Secretary.
