Steno Gr. ‘C’ to Steno Gr. ‘A&B’ (Merged) of CSSS-Select List Year 2004-

The undersigned is directed to say that nominations of surplus officials in the Central panel against Seniority Quota vacancies in Grade ‘A&B’ (Merged) of CSSS for the Select List 2003 has already been made vide this Department’s O.M.No.5/10/2005-CS.II dated 18.5.2006. On the basis of the relevant data as furnished to this Department by the cadre authorities, it has been decided that the following will be the ‘range of seniority’ (zone of promotion) for making additions to the Select List (SQ) for the year, 2004.

All unabsorbed Stenos Grade ‘C’ of the previous zones and Stenos Grade ‘C’ upto the S.No.97 in the Common Seniority List-1989 of Stenos Grade ‘C’ of CSSS, issued by this Department vide O.M.No.20/33/2005-CS.II dated 10.5.2006. |

All Stenographers Grade ‘C’ of Select List 1989 whose names figure in the Common Seniority List –1989 of Steno Grade ‘C’ of CSSS. |

ST: |
All Stenos Grade ‘C’ who have completed 8 years of ‘approved service’ as on 1.7.2004 |

2. As Cadres may be aware, Common Seniority List of Stenos Gr. ‘C’ included in the Select Lists upto the Year 1990, has already been finalized and issued through this Department O.M. No. 20/33/2005-CS.II dated 10.5.2006, which is also available on the Website of this Ministry. It has now been decided to prepare a Central Panel by operating this list for making regular promotion to Steno Gr. ‘A&B’ (merged) of CSSS with a view to eliminate the element of disparity in the promotional prospects of Steno Gr. ‘C’ working in all the Cadres of CSSS.
3. All the cadre controlling authorities
of CSSS are, therefore, requested to place the case of all eligible
Stenographers Gr. ‘C’, who are covered within the prescribed ‘zone’ and who
have not yet been included in the Select List of Steno Gr. ‘A&B’ (Merged)
of CSSS, before the Departmental Promotion Committee to assess their fitness or
otherwise for promotion to the Steno Grade ‘A&B’ (Merged) of CSSS. They are further requested to furnish the
recommendations of the Departmental Promotion Committee along-with vigilance
clearance in respect of the officer(s) concerned to this Department in the enclosed
prescribed proforma (Annexures –I,II & III) latest by

4. Cadres are also requested to furnish
the list of officers, if any, figuring in the ‘zone’ who have already been promoted through
earlier Select List(s),in Annexure – IV (enclosed).
