Sub: Term and condition for refund of pay and allowances in the event of direct recruit Assistant/Section Officer.

The undersigned is directed to say that it has come to the notice of this Department that some of the Cadre Controlling Authorities, while issuing the offer of appointment to the successful candidates belonging to CSS/CSSS/CSCS, on the basis of examination conducted by UPSC/SSC etc., stipulate a condition for the refund of pay and allowances drawn by the officer if he resigns (for whatsoever reasons) during the period of probation or after probation. In this connection, it is hereby clarified that there is no provision for such refund so far as officers of three Central Services is concerned and it is not necessary to incorporate such terms and conditions in the offer of appointment.
